Month 1

Get your mind right

Learn a proven method for taking control of your time and automatically avoiding distractions.

Leverage a process for mapping out where you should be spending your time that will make it painfully evident how to invest in outsourcing.

I’ll show you a process for dividing your work so you’re focused only on what’s important.

Lastly, we’ll work together to build a system of accountability that will change your production cadence for the life of this program.

Month 2

Create your ideal customer profile and design an offer they can’t resist

We’ll explore your current service offerings and identify your core, actual niche (it’s very likely that you’re thinking too broadly and your true focus is actually a sub-niche).

You will find your true audience and curate a set of their most pressing needs and pain points.

You’ll gain actionable insight into what you should be selling and additional products or services you can create almost immediately.

We’ll walk through mapping this all out into a customer avatar that you can use to inform all of your marketing messaging moving forward.

We’ll then design an entry-level offer that you can use to start quickly scaling your sales efforts right away.

Month 3

Set up your business for success

You likely already have a legal entity in place, but it’s also likely that it’s not one that is most advantageous for your individual business.

I’ll take you through the nuanced differentiators of how to best structure your business for compelling events and both short-term and long-term business goals.

I’ll take you through systems for invoicing to make cashflow problems a thing of the past.

We’ll explore your pricing and create a rate card based on minimum achievable profitability (versus arbitrary numbers based on market threshold or acceptance).

I’ll walk you through my favorite tax strategies for keeping more of the money you’re earning.

Month 4

Set up project management for scale

Active (and effective) management of tasks and resources is probably the #1 sticking point I hear when talking to other agency owners.

Funny enough, it’s usually from Founders jumping right into the deep end with a big, expensive piece of software thinking it will fix all their problems.

It doesn’t make sense to build the clubhouse before the club, and in the same vein, without the processes in place simply throwing tools at them won’t achieve anything.

I’ll give you my simple daily management process that will get you to 30 employees without software.

I’ll help you think about service/department delineation in a way that will support your service offerings.

I’ll show you systems for building internal reporting that will give you immediate insight into your resource utilization, profitability, and help you manage hiring and resource costs.

Month 5

Build your brand

A brand is more than a name and a logo, but let’s start there.

It’s likely that the name you have now (and whatever branding you have built out to date, if any) is not going to be suitable for getting your business to the $1 million level.

We’ll explore what goes into a name and brand. I’ll also show you why a smaller website, built in just the right way, is going to be far more effective to get you to $100k/month in revenue than a large, inflated one that doesn’t focus on your brand.

I’ll share strategies for getting noticed, building your initial set of high-impact professional relationships, and walk through some hacks for getting your initial press.

Month 6

Design your service offerings

You already have a handful of services you’re selling, and maybe even a few products.

I’d be willing to bet that your competitors are selling the same products and services, and competing at the service level is a race to the bottom in terms of pricing.

Based on all of the work you’ve done up until this point; defining your niche, identifying your audience and their pain, building a PM system to support your business, and positioning your brand for – it’s time to revisit how you package what you’re selling.

We’ll redesign your menu of services with a focus on increasing revenue and profit from your engagements.

Month 7

Build your growth engine

Building growth engines is what I currently spend most of my time doing at my agency. Part of the reason is because of how much of an impact it has on the growth of the business, with the other part being how much I love doing it.

The term “growth engine” in and of itself is misleading, it’s not truly representative of what it’s used to describe – and I’ll show you why.

I’ll walk you through my process for building growth engines; where, what, why, and how. Furthermore, I’ll do something I’ve never done before – I’ll walk you through all of my personal growth engines, describing something in detail is one thing – but physically showing it is another all together.

I’ll reveal what they are, where they are, and show you the actual statistics on the back-end for what they generate.

Then we’ll go to work on designing a plan so you can start building your own.

Month 8

Develop a sales process

With your growth engines underway, we need to move onto making sure you are able to capitalize on your new lead-flow as it begins to increase.

To do this you will need to design a system that takes your warm leads, qualifies them in a way that gives you an unfair advantage, and then when they’re red hot – pushes them through a proven process for selling and closing.

My system is built around (mostly) free tools, with a few options for relatively cheap upgrades (like a lightweight app that costs $19/mo for example) that will allow you to focus your effort where it matters most.

I’ll explain why I’m no longer part of the sales process in my agency, what it’s done for the business, and how you can do the same.

We’ll then bring this all back to sales reporting so you can always have a handle on your numbers and understand what to improve and when.

Month 9

Hire, delegate, and scale your time

Delegation is an art form; it takes time, practice, and dedication.

It all starts with understanding what to delegate (which we started to work out in Month 1), how to delegate (which we solved for in Month 4), and then who to delegate it to.

That’s what we’re going to focus on in Month 9. We’ll go through your existing processes and break them apart so they can be separated by time value and assigned to the best-fit resources.

I’ll share with you my playbook for where and how to find the right resources to jump start your support team.

I’ll share tips on how to structure your resource agreements for maximum benefit and flexibility.

And finally we’ll figure out your businesses MVT (minimum viable team) to get to $1 million in revenue – it’s likely much smaller than you think.

Month 10

Scale your client business (and your revenue generation)

You now have all of your systems in place to grow, the foundation has been built with sustainable systems customized for your business.

You have leads coming in, a sales process, and a system for fulfillment.

Now it’s time to pour fuel on the fire.

I’ll share my tips for market positioning that will guarantee you close more business than your competitors.

You will develop an acquisition roadmap identifying the clients you’re specifically equipped to service.

I’ll share my strategies for getting on their radar before you contact them.

Month 11

Build a team that’s right for your business

At this point you have support resources in place and your system for fulfillment dialed in, it’s time to start thinking bigger.

We’ll analyze the capabilities that are most important for where your business will be in the next 12 months.

You will develop your ideal team mix and outline what culture means to you.

You’ll start building your virtual bench. I’ll share the counter-intuitive strategies I use to find agency talent where you’d least expect it.

Finally, you’ll take a step back and reflect on your outcomes from your Month 1 exercises – and use this to consider who you need to be attracting, retaining, and how your team will need to evolve over times to support this vision.

Month 12

Build your referral engine and set a path for continued growth

At this point you have established yourself as a name in your industry and have set all your pieces in motion on a path for growth.

We will focus on how to extend your network and build partnerships that will continue to drive sales into the future.

You also cannot grow if you constantly need to replace revenue, and so client retention must be intentional.

I’ll share my systems for re-enforcing client importance and mindshare, and you’ll build a framework for controlling the outcomes fo your clients relationships whenever possible.
